Vinyl Scratch custom headphones 6 by HappyOrwell Vinyl Scratch custom headphones 6 by HappyOrwell
My V-MODA M-80 headphones with custom shields which I made the designs for. Based around the background char DJ Pon-3, or Vinyl Scratch. The names DJ Pon-3 & Vinyl Scratch as well as the cutie mark belong to Hasbro. I got the cutie mark vector which I used designing the shield designs I got from Hawk9mm, who I got permission from.

Send me a note, we can work out details. V-Moda makes the headphones, I just made the template things for the designs. You'd just pay me for the designs and buy the headphones yourself, or you could pay me for/I could do the whole thing.

They are! They are indeed! They've also got a good warentee incase they end up not being, but in terms of sound quality, I love them. In terms of build, built well. Aestetics? Well look for yourself, I like 'em, and they've held up and look the same, no signs of wear. Comfort, they're the most comfortable on ear headphones I've worn, work well for me, I mean Grado labs wins for comfort, but that's not fair. Unlike Grado's, these have great noise isolation, so you can pump the tunes LOUD, and people right next to you won't hear it. Also they play music at a good volume, no yoke styled headphone wire design, keeps away tangles and stuff better(wire only on one side), and the wire is removable which is nice as if anything breaks, the cord is one of the 1st to go, which makes replacement, much easier and cheaper. Plus it comes with 2, Teflon reenforced, and at a 45 degree angle, a good mid-ground between strait, and 90 degree's. Also, a nice headphone case too! I love them, love them. You can have the headphones, customized plates, them shipped to you, and have me customize them how you want for just 200 bucks if you want! Lol, commissions..

Meant to reply to youuu, copy/paste time:
The headphones themselves (V-Moda M-80's)are high end, and so pricey, but I believe are worth it in quality, sound and durability and aesthetics. The shields and the customization is something their company does, I merely make the designs and pick the colors. There price for custom shields with your own design is $45 bucks x( though, so far I have no regrets in my purchase, and their many other customers seem pretty happy (Shield forum: head-fi.org/t/616990/v-moda-shield-design-discussion/300). As they're pricey to start with, I'm not really charging much, 5-10+ more or less? If you want, I'll take care of the rest of the ordering and shipping if you just don't want to deal with it. I'll even like, put your shields on your headphones for you if you want, hahaha.. (all 12 tedious little hexagonal screws..) Send me a note if you want more info/links, discussion, junk, oh I ramble. :3

Lol, I sure typed a lot of words.. If you ever wanna get some with custom plates, it's just $200 for the headphones, plates, and shipping, plus whatever you feel like my profit should be for designing them and whatever.

They would be chrome shields, you have to order custom ones from V-Moda

Actualy, chrome shields can't be engraved with custom designs, but they do have a cool mirror finish if you wipe the fingerprints off 'em. These were dark purple plates from v-moda.

Hate to be a nit-picker, but shouldn't the quavers be orientated the other way around? Or is Vinyl's cutie mark that way? I can't remember

Vinyl's cutie mark is for sure on her left flank(heh, I said flank), and the cutie mark is on the left side of the headphones. They're 2 bridged, mirrored eighth notes (opposite of how they're normally written in musical notation(the way the heads of the notes faces)). They're facing to the right, which, is the way Vinyl's does as well. Lol, I'm a nit-picker as well, but I've already picked, uh, this nit? xD Hahaha, thanks!

Wow, that means so much to meee!! :D But if you seriously want some, I'm doing commissions for the shields that go on them which is the part I can take credit for. The headphones are V-Moda M-80 crossfades which you could buy, or you could commission me to like, do the plates and get the headphones all together I guess, but it seems more practical for you to order most of that stuff yourself, lol, I dunno. But if you're interested, send me a message or something!

As long as random@ssed legal cr2p doesn't pop up all like blah, I'll totally do commissions, but the headphones and shields are pricey, so I dunno is people'd buy 'em. The headphones I got are the m-80's, which have a more ballanced sound than their lower model (still pretty good) the Crossfade LP's, which have more bass, than does somewhat muddle mids, come off a little overwhelming, and not roll off the highs as well, but compared to your Sony XB500's, I don't think you'd notice much. xD the next one up is there it does everything one, the m-100, which is over ear, very verisitile, and even better sound quality, but really, not toooo huge a difference proportionaly from the m-80's to the m-100's. If you do buy v-moda's next pair, they're hella tough. Millitary testing and all. kevlar reenforced/wrapped cables, that detach incase it breaks so you just need to replace the cable, not the whole thing. 10+ flap head band bends, and 70+ 6 feet drops before damage to usability or sound quality happened. yeaah.. long rambling post.

I've always wondered if some sites (like Red Bubble) bothered with licensing before selling MLP stuff. They can get into a whole lotta trouble should Hasbro decide to act upon it. It's always risky working with someone else's IP, but Hasbro has been very tolerant of fan-works so far. I'm certain that lots of other companies are looking at them like they're crazy.

Yeah, I'll probably spring for the v-moda when I decide to upgrade (assuming I've had a chance to take them for a test drive). But the fact that they are so (relatively) easy to customize give them a huge leg up on all the other headphones I've seen.
